Many people hold strong and sometimes conflicting opinions about yoga. Some see it as nothing more than a form of physical exercise, while others assume it’s a religion in itself. In reality, yoga is an ancient, time-tested science of self-awareness and integration; a collection of introspective principles designed to draw the practitioner closer to the Divine. These principles, rooted in thousands of years of lived experience, appear across many spiritual traditions because they speak to the universal human longing for peace, presence, and wholeness. Yoga simply offers a practical pathway for cultivating that inner connection.
